Rules are sadly needed for any game. Though we here at MD do not think that they are really needed for the serious RPer, they are listed to ensure that our stance on things is understood. Please be aware that ANY of the GMs may boot you at any time if they feel that you are breaking a rule. If you feel you have been unfairly ejected from a game, contact myself or Bella and we will look into matters for you.
General Rules: No spamming except in the OOC thread.
Cursing should be reasonable in and out of character. A larger vocab shows brains more-so than cursing every other sentence.
Intolerance of ANY sort will have the end result of you being ejected from the game. Have issues with anything? Leave them at the door.
Don't bully. One strike you're out.
Please follow the site TOS. If you break it you'll be removed from the game.
You do NOT have to be 18 to participate in this game, but we DO expect mature behavior from everyone.
All content posted must be appropriate for all ages. Break this one and you're gone. No second chances. Appropriate content = prime time TV. In other words, you can still get away with quite a LOT.
No chat speak. It's hard to understand and annoying beyond belief. Simple things like LOL and BRB, etc. are allowed, but none of this other nonsense that seems to be the bread and butter of many younger online RPers.
Character Creation Rules: Please follow the form.
Canons may be reserved for a week if you post up a WIP character sheet. First person to post one up gets it, no other applications will even be considered until the app is finished or the week is up. [We reserve the right to approve or deny anyone.]
If a canon is taken you can't just apply for them and expect us to hand them over. Choose a different canon or make an OC.
If we ask you to fix something, please do it. Failure to do so will result in your RTJ being ignored/deleted.
No Mary Sues/Gary Stues.
If your character is even remotely related to any of the canons--FORGET APPLYING. These are considered Mary Sues and will be ignored. IF--and this is a big if--you have a decent backstory and are an excellent writer we might consider working your character in. Don't count on this though and do not cause problems with the GMs and owner if you are turned down.
In addition to the last two--TOO many 'veggie' vamps and I'll start denying them ALL regardless of how good they are. Vegetarian vampires are RARE. The amount allowed will depend on the amount of players. Right now only <b>3</b> OC vegetarians are allowed.
The password for the character creations board.... is not here. Read all the rules.
Werewolves are NOT common. Not every teen male will be a wolf. Please keep this in mind. Right now only 2 OC wolves are being accepted and they MUST be male. [Female wolves are unheard of until Leah, so don't even ask]
We are busy people with lives. If you don't hear back from us within 3 days, feel free to bump your RTJ to get our attention.
You may have up to 3 characters to start. If we feel you can handle more, you'll be notified in a PM what your new limit is.
Please change your username to the FIRST and LAST name of your character.
Have one character PER account. This means that you'll have as many accounts as you do characters. Keep that in mind when making multiple characters.
In Character Rules: No god-modding! Ever. Do this and you'll be warned. Do it a second time and you'll get a public warning and will be restricted to OOC for 1 week. Third time is your last--you'll be removed from the game and not allowed back unless you can prove that you are capable of RPing without god-modding!
What the GMs say goes. Don't argue with them about a fight.
Fights are left up to the players but should be planned out ahead of time. In other words, you need to know who is going to win before RPing it out. It's too long and drawn out a process otherwise.
If a fight starts and you haven't chosen who wins, or you begin to argue about who is to win after starting the RP, you MUST have a GM or mod judge for you. You'll be judged on your character's stats/bio partly, but also on post length, content, and ability to RP out a fight without resorting to god-modding.
Posts must be at LEAST 1 to 2 paragraphs in length.
SPELL CHECK IS YOUR FRIEND. If your posts are littered with improper spelling and grammar, I will ask you to redo them.
NO CHATSPEAK EVER WHEN IN CHARACTER.
PM the ADMIN account or the character elder for the password!
